Description
The feathery foliage of the Matteuccia struthiopteris makes this a really attractive plant; the fronds are a healthy green colour and are formed in erect rosettes. In spring the fronds unfurl from brown shoots and they hold their colour throughout summer and autumn.
This fern is fairly upright in habit and grows to a decent size, so plant it with this in mind and give it enough room to thrive. We love this at the side of water or as part of a woodland theme.
