Tell Me More…
For a sea of dazzling, scarlet blooms, try Argyranthemum ‘Grandaisy Deep Red’. A member of the spectacular ‘Grandaisy’ series, this neat, bushy plant will be covered in flowers from early summer until autumn, demanding very little in the way of care. The result of a recent cross between the argyranthemum and chrysanthemum, the ‘Grandaisy’ series is notable for extra-large flowers (up to 6cm across) borne in abundance over a long period. Plants are reliable, strong, and bred to tolerate extremes of weather which makes them an excellent choice for our sometimes unpredictable UK climate. Argyranthemum ‘Grandaisy Deep Red’ prefers to be planted in well-drained soil of any kind except heavy clay and position where it benefits from full sun. Plants grow to a height and spread of up to 50cm. The ‘Grandaisy’ series are tender, evergreen sub-shrubs which are often grown as annuals. Alternatively, container grown plants can be overwintered indoors for continued perennial growth (a cool greenhouse or conservatory is ideal).
