Magnolia Soulangeana is a gorgeous deciduous spreading tree, bearing large dark green leaves. The large, tulip shaped, deep rose-pink to pure white flowers are produced before the new leaves in mid-late spring. Soulangeana is a fantastic small tree for smaller gardens, as it remains shapely for many years, even when mature, it is a manageable size tree which can grow to approx 15ft when mature, however can be pruned to keep smaller. Can also be grown in a large container on the patio or decking.
