Description
The only culinary apple tree to have receive an Award of Garden Merit for its blossom. The blossom opens from deep pink buds and is paler pink inside which creates a lovely effect at bloom time. This tree has large greenish-yellow flushed orange-brown fruits which can be picked in mid-October. Excellent baking apple which cooks to a well- flavoured yellow puree which needs little sugar adding. Good for pies, sauce or baking. Heavy cropper. Suitable for colder areas and is more resistant to frost.
