- Both ‘Lapins Cherokee’ and ‘Summer Sun’ are brilliant varieties; the former produces excellent cherries with a rich, complex flavour profile whilst the latter yields devilishly moreish fruit with exceptional sweetness.
- ‘Lapins Cherokee’ is self-fertile so it doesn’t technically need a partner, whereas ‘Summer Sun’ is only partially self-fertile and does better with another pollinator. But hey, even if good ol’ Lapins doesn’t technically *need* a partner, no tree likes to be lonely!
