The bell-shaped flowers of a penstemon offer a welcome change to the ‘daisy-like’ flowers produced by most perennials, not to mention an alternative to growing digitalis. Penstemon Evelyn has an ephemeral quality, with delicate looking pastel rose pink flowers, which additionally display a pale striped throat.
