Description
- A narrow, column shaped deciduous native tree which grows vigorously even in woodland shade
- Glossy green heart-shaped leaves with a pale underside and masses of sweet-smelling flowers in the spring which attract pollinating insects to your garden
- This fully hardy, fast growing plant can reach a height of 25m but can easily be maintained at 1-5m
- Grows well in any fertile soil and can cope with dappled shade
- Can be grown as a screening tree and makes an excellent windbreak
- Not suitable for a clipped hedge
