Vigorous, upright and producing large crops of the delightful little yellow French plums you know and love, from September onwards. ‘Mirabelle de Nancy’ is very sweet and also stone free, just watch the tasty fruits change from white to honey yellow as they ripen over the season, delicious eaten fresh or cooked in desserts. Plum rootstocks: VVA1 – Dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2m (6′,6″). Ferlinane – Semi dwarf reaching a mature height of up to 2.5m (8′). St. Julien – Semi vigorous reaching a mature height of up to 4.5m (14′). This variety is self-fertile and does not require a pollination partner. Estimated time to cropping once planted: 2 years. Growing Information
Plant plum trees in any well drained soil in a sheltered, sunny position. Prior to planting, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost into the planting hole and drive the stake into the ground to support the tree. Staking after planting may result in damage to the root ball. Plant fruit trees at their original soil level and firm them into the ground. Fasten the tree to the stake using a tree tie, and water well.
