Description
Quince ‘Champion’ is a vigorous tree producing regular, heavy crops of fruit from a young age, even in wetter soils where some other varieties struggle. Large, single bowl-shaped flowers are produced in abundance in spring followed by greenish-yellow, pear shaped fruits which ripen slightly earlier than some of the other quinces. There are many different culinary uses for this for this quince, including cooking; when it is cooked the flesh turns a bluish-pink colour.
