Description
Crataegus orientalis is a beautiful oriental tree which holds its branches somewhat upright when young, but they open out with maturity. The leaves are a very pretty silvery green, quite deeply dissected and with a feathery appearance. Clusters of white flowers in late spring and early summer are followed in the autumn by red fruits with a yellow tinge. This is a delightful tree, popular with wildlife, for a smaller garden.
