A compact small Weigela that is perfect for the smaller garden.
This tidy little shrub sponsors green purplish lanceolate leaves that provide the perfect foil for its rosy-red funnel shaped flowers that first appear in spring but are partial to encores throughout the summer. A final flurry of autumn colour round of a hard working season for this plant which will look great planted alongside low evergreen shrubs.
In late winter prune out last year’s growth to encourage new flowering growth and a mulch of compost will also be beneficial.
