- Best for baby potatoes, smooth skinned, waxy Maris Peer is small, oval-shaped and crops well
- Second earlies are midseason potatoes that grow rapidly, take up little space and are planted a month after first earlies. They’re harvested from July to September
- Grow in open ground, traditional potato sacks or pots at least 45cm wide and deep (two plants per pot)
