Tell Me More…
Speedy, screening scrambler Polygonum Albertii is a terrific climber which will quickly screen large expanses of walls, fences or other unsightly structures in your garden. Great for hiding the bins in the corner, or the compost heap, so all you see are your beautiful plants! As an added bonus in summer, Polygonum Albertii will be smothered in dangling panicles of pink-tinged flowers. Then, in turn, by pollinators who love the nectar these blooms provide. As a hardy perennial, Polygonum Albertii can withstand temperatures down to-15, or H6, and will spread up to 8m with a maximum height of 12m. If this is too largescale for you – it can easily be pruned to keep it in check at any time of year. This robust climber is tolerant of any soil or aspect and will even grow in partial shade when provided with moist, well-drained soil.
