Tradescantia ‘Zwanenburg Blue’ is a new and exciting variety of tradescantia, much prized for their neat, clump forming habit and prolific flowering. Spectacular 3-petalled flowers in an intense violet-blue are produced from July to November each year, with each flower enhanced by golden yellow stamen which appear to crown these sensational flowers. Blooms are beneficially ‘self-cleaning’ – meaning they are naturally shed by the plant with no need to deadhead.Tradescantia ‘Zwanenburg Blue’ is also attractive to beneficial pollinators and other wildlife. Adaptable enough to happily live in a container, gravel garden or border; with beneficial ground covering foliage borne from April to November. A hardy, herbaceous perennial which prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Grows to reach a height and spread of 50cm and will naturalise readily once established.
