A relatively new cross between an Amaryllis and a Nerine. Amarine are stronger with larger blooms and were originally bred for the cut flower industry, with up to 10 flowers per stem. Amarine tubergenii ‘Belladiva Emanuelle’ brings you striking sprays of lily-like flowers with wavy re-curved petals from September to November offering a fresh contrast to most autumnal tones.Happy in both borders and containers, the strap-shaped foliage develops in early summer lasting through to November time then going into dormancy as winter approaches. The tall strong stems of Amarine tubergenii ‘Belladiva Emanuelle’ are a favourite with florists, lasting well when cut for the vase in your home.Plant in well-drained soil of any kind except clay. Position in full sun and expect a height of up to 60cm with a spread of 30cm. Amarine will naturalise in the right conditions and are hardy to around -10°C.
