Tell Me More…
Heliopsis helianthoides ‘Double Sunstruck’ is a new arrival for 2024. A stunning looker which bears variegated, green and silvery white, simple, well branched foliage from March to October each year. A great way to add decorous interest to pots, rockeries, raised beds and herbaceous borders from springtime right through to the end of autumn. From July through to September daisy like, double blooms emerge, gloriously topping the mounds of foliage beneath. Plants mature to 40cm tall, with a spread of around 35cm and can even be used to edge a pathway or create a low-growing hedge. Furthermore, bees, butterflies and other pollinators love the nectar-rich flowers so your plants will be a hive of activity. Heliopsis helianthoides ‘Double Sunstruck’ prefers well-drained soil of any kind. Plant in a sunny spot and avoid a north facing aspect. A hardy (H6), herbaceous perennial which should not need additional winter protection throughout the UK.
