You will add a sparkle in your garden with Oenothera lindheimeri ‘Sparkle White’ – an outstanding white-flowering evening primrose. With a neat and bushy, clump forming habit, the white, star-shaped flowers are produced on arching, wispy stems which will gently sway on summer breezes, giving an open, airy effect. Otherwise known as Gaura, or commonly as ‘Whirling Butterflies’ the fantastic blooms are produced from June to August, encouraging bees and other pollinators closer for a good look, while the stems, when cut, make an exciting addition to your indoor arrangements. An herbaceous perennial, Oenothera lindheimeri ‘Sparkle White’ is drought tolerant once established and prefers to be planted in a sunny position in well-drained soil, where it will reach a height and spread of approximately 50cm. With an RHS hardiness rating of H4, protection will only be required once temperatures dip below -10°C.
