The seed is very small, almost dust-like, so be careful when opening the packet. Sow indoors from January-August on to free-draining Cactus compost. Lightly cover with compost or sand and place in a propagator at 20-23°C, or cover the seed with a sheet of polyethene or glass to maintain humidity. Germination up to 3 months. Once germinated, remove from propagator to prevent the seedlings damping off. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle to small pots and grow on indoors. Allow the soil to dry out slightly before watering lightly.
