Bowl of Beauty has huge blooms, up to 20 cm across, and a lovely aroma. This exceptional, early-to-midsummer flowering variety was introduced in 1949 and has remained a top pick ever since. It has also earned the renowned RHS Award of Garden Merit. Huge, rounded pink petals form a massive bowl, with a creamy ruff of smaller, ribbon-like petals in the centre. These massive anemone-like blooms are held on sturdy stems, making them ideal for cutting and resilient to wind and rain. Height: 100cm (40). Spread: 80cm (32).
Growing Information
Bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position on fertile, moist, well drained soil. Peony plants prefer a heavy soil that is rich in organic matter. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Plant herbaceous peonies so that the top of the crown is just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, taking care not to plant too deeply as this may prevent or delay peonies from flowering.
