An early maturing, extra tender sweet corn with a high sugar content that gives a deliciously sweet flavour. It has a dwarf habit and improved performance in cold soils. Eat raw or cooked. RHS Award of Garden Merit winner. SUPERSWEET VARIETY – Has 2-3 times the sugar levels of ordinary sweet corns. Careful sowing in warm moist soil/seed compost is essential to ensure good germination.

Growing Information

Sow under unheated glass in pots in April for planting outdoors mid-May. Can also be sown outdoors in May preferably under cloches. (14-16 weeks maturity.)

Sowing Information

Sow 3cm (1″) deep singly in 8cm (3″) pots of seed compost at 13-16°C (55-60°F). Germination 10-12 days. Grow on in good light and gradually harden off before planting outside in a sunny, sheltered position in May or early June. Grow in blocks rather than rows setting plants 38cm (15″) apart each way.

Alternatively sow mid to early June outdoors in blocks, setting 2-3 seeds in groups spaced 38cm (15″) apart each way. Cover with jam jars/cloches until the young plants develop.

Do not grow near other sweet corn.
