Please note, as a precaution, wash your hands after cutting and whenever you handle these plants as all parts are toxic if ingested.Acanthus prefer to be grown in moist, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade. Fully hardy, herbaceous perennials with an RHS rating of H7, they will die back over winter, resprouting again in the spring.
