Blueberry ‘Flamingo’ has small white flowers with distinctive foliage that emerges mottled pink before maturing to a bright green with cream marbling. This compact little blueberry is ideal for the patio, where you can enjoy both its ornamental value and the juicy sweet fruits in the summer. It’s a good cropper, too, with “Bluecrop” parentage! This deciduous shrub’s crimson autumn foliage adds a final splash of colour as winter approaches. This is a fantastic hybrid that deserves a prominent place in the garden. Although self-fertile, it produces the best crops when grown with another blueberry to increase pollination. Height: 100 cm (39″). Spread: 70cm (27″).
Growing Information
Blueberries require a well drained, acid soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow blueberry plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3.
