Sowing Information
Sow thinly March-June into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm. Germination can take 7-12 days. Transplant with a trowel when large enough to handle, allowing 30cm (12″) between plants each way. Alternatively sow Jan-Feb in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx., 10-15C (50-60F) using good quality compost. Cover with 6mm sieved compost. Transplant seedlings into 75mm (3″) pots. Grow on and finally plant outside in well cultivated soil for early crops.
