‘Happy Days Purple’ flowers from June until October, it produces a flurry of bold, violet blooms that contrast beautifully against its bronze-purple coloured foliage. Its compact dwarf growing habit makes it perfect for adding to window boxes, small flower beds and cottage gardens, whilst also creating a showy specimen plant, ideal for sitting in a pretty pot growing on the patio. This Dahlia enjoys full sun to develop and is a magnet for pollinating insects, its neat form will provide you with a maximum height of 30cm and spread of around 25cm.
Growing Information
Pot up Dahlia plants and grow them on in frost free conditions until large enough to plant outdoors. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise dahlia plants to outdoor conditions over 7 to 10 days before planting out in beds, borders and containers. Choose a position in full sun on any rich fertile, moist, well drained soil.
