Geranium Best Red
Geranium Best Red is an amazing variety that delivers a traditional geranium with gorgeous, scarlet-red blooms. It is perfect in beds, borders, and planters where it will provide months of flowers from the beginning of summer through to the autumn.
They are half-hardy and usually are treated as annuals in the UK. If the correct care and a close eye are kept on these, then they could be overwintered in a frost-free greenhouse.
Growing Information
Pot up pelargonium plants and grow them on in warm frost-free conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise geranium plants to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days before transplanting them into their final positions in containers, beds and borders. Plant geraniums in a sunny or semi-shaded position, in any light, non-acidic, well drained soil. Pinch out the growing tip of each stem to encourage branching and form a bushier plant which will produce more flowers later on.
