Streptocarpus Plant – Three Sisters

A beautiful combination of colours to create a stunning flower display.

Dibleys Streptocarpus ‘Three Sisters’ is something a little different. A unique variety, perhaps the only one commercially available in the UK at present. Three Sisters’, is three sisters, namely Katie, Marion and Matilda. Katie sported to create two new siblings Marion and Matilda and together the three create a lovely array of colour which will last for many months of the year. The 3 varieties are individually picked and planted into one super plug. Common name is Cape Primrose. Flowers March-October. Height 11-20cm (4-8″); spread 11-20cm (4-8″).

Growing Information

March to September

Place your Streptocarpus in a bright spot but not in prolonged direct sunlight – an east or west-facing windowsill is perfect. Water regularly as the compost begins to dry out but avoid letting the plant sit in water. Feed fortnightly with a high-potash feed (diluted to half strength) to maximise flowering. Cut back spent flower stalks to the base to encourage more to form. As the plant grows, repot as necessary in spring into a slightly larger pot.

October to February

Move to a south facing windowsill if possible. Only water when the compost dries out and don’t feed. Remove any dead leaves and debris to minimise the chance of pests and diseases.
