Quintessentially British and named in honour of Queen Victoria in 1837, Rhubarb Victoria is a tried and trusted hardy variety which has proved popular with gardeners old and new over many decades. It is easy to grow and once in place, given the right conditions, will give plentiful supplies of tasty stalks for many years.
Rhubarb Victoria has slender leafstalks with a reddish pink blush colour and has a sweet and mild taste when cooked and served with custard or in puddings.
Can be harvested from mid-summer while young and tender.
Snap off the stalks at the base.
