A flexible and productive variety. Performs well under stressed conditions due to its vigorous root system. Very good standing/holding ability without cracking.
Growing Information
Careful selection of varieties will ensure a good supply of different types of cabbages for all seasons of the year. Sow February-May to harvest July-October or October to harvest July (year 2).
Sowing Information
Using a good quality compost, sow seeds in a propagator covering with 6mm of compost. Place on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 18-20C (65-70F). Germination can take 7-12 days. Transfer seedlings into individual 7.5 (3″) pots and grow on in a warm light position. Plant out in 8 weeks later allowing about 60cm (24″) between plants each way. Alternatively, sow March to May direct into a ‘seedbed’; 13mm deep. Grows best on firm ground which has been liberally manured the previous autumn.
