The small in size, juicy orange fruits that ‘Calamondin’ produces have an intriguing bitter taste, followed by a sumptuous sweetness. Not only will you get the cute little fruits, but fragrant white flowers will decorate the dark green foliage in clusters. You may need to wait until the following year for fruits to be fully ripe for harvest, but once picked they can be stored for 2 weeks. Best grown in a bright frost free position in autumn to spring, in a patio container, albeit capable of surviving periods of under 0C. Self-fertile meaning not pollinator partner required. Height: 3m (9’). Spread: 2m (6’).
