Sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, weed-free warm soil where the plants are to flower at a depth of 13mm (½”) covering the seed lightly. Germination takes 10-14 days. Thin seedlings in stages to a final spacing of 10-15cm (4-6″) apart, removing any competing weeds at the same time. Choose a sunny position. Alternatively to flower the following year sow direct outside during August-September.
