Coronilla valentina subsp. glauca ‘Citrina’ is a versatile shrub that will flower from December into mid-spring, with it’s sweetly fragrant yellow blooms. Meanwhile the evergreen blue-tinged foliage is a great backdrop for the lemon coloured display in winter time. Plant up in a sheltered, sunny spot where ‘Citrina’ will perform well and act perfectly hardy. Perfect planted in pots and containers, due to it’s compact and round growth habit. You can even train it up a wall, growing up to a height of 1.8m, for an amazing upright display in gardens. Height and spread when grown as free standing shrub: 90cm (36″). Height when grown as wall trained shrub: Up to 180cm (6′).
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
Growing Information
Grow coronilla in well-drained soil in full sun. For best results choose a sheltered spot and add plenty of grit to the planting hole to help with drainage. Also suitable for growing in containers and training against a wall.
