Lobelia cardinalis ‘Queen Victoria’ bares lofty spikes of intense red, upright foliage which holds the even more vibrant red dainty blooms that drip and dangle over the foliage below. A great way of introducing late summer colour when not much else is flowering, this intriguing and striking perennial will fill tough to grow spots in borders where there’s damp or shade, as well as around ponds or streams. Growing Information
Grow Lobelia in a sheltered position in sun or semi-shade on reliably moist, fertile soil. Lobelia cardinalis copes well with boggy soils and can be planted at the edge of ponds and streams.
