Peony ‘Dinner Plate’ has massive, 17cm wide blooms that are a luminous pink with paler margins and are made up of several layers of petals. If you can endure cutting them, the massive flowers are borne on sturdy stems and make long-lasting vase specimens! From late spring to early summer, this late-season peony blooms above a bushy mound of deep green, finely cut foliage. Growing Information
Bare roots should be planted at the earliest opportunity following delivery. Grow peonies in a sunny or semi shaded position on fertile, moist, well drained soil. Peony plants prefer a heavy soil that is rich in organic matter. Improve the soil prior to planting by adding plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost prior to planting. Plant herbaceous peonies so that the top of the crown is just 5cm (2”) below the soil surface, taking care not to plant too deeply as this may prevent or delay peonies from flowering.
