Primula vialli is perfect to grow in pesky damp and shade spots of your garden, where other plants won’t thrive. Beautiful lilac petals creep up the tight scarlet flower heads, forming a cone shaped bloom atop stiff upright green stems. Plant en masse in woodland gardens, damp soil edging ponds or in bog gardens where they will add colour where it is limited. Also ideal for cut flower arrangements. Height: 40cm (16″). Spread: 30cm (12″).
Growing Information
Choose a semi-shaded position on rich, fertile, moist, well drained soil. Primula vialii will also thrive in a peaty, acid soil and can also tolerate a position in full sun if the soil remains reliably moist.
