‘Temptation’ is a beautiful Skimmia that adds ornamental value and decoration wherever placed. It flowers from April until May and produces neat clusters of cream-coloured flowers. Popular for its evergreen, glossy foliage and scarlet-red berries that appear later in the Autumn, this hardy shrub creates a fabulous accent plant throughout the colder months and adds lots of vibrancy to dull spaces. It would sit well in a wildlife, cottage or scented garden, whilst creating pretty additions to patio areas and woodlands. Your Skimmia is very easy to care for and enjoys partial shade to develop, it will flourish to a height and spread of 150cm.
Growing Information
Grow Skimmia plants in a dappled or fully shaded position, in moderately fertile, rich, well drained soil which can be neutral to acidic in pH. Avoid full sun, as this can cause yellowing of the leaves. Alternatively grow Skimmia in large containers, using a soil based compost such as John Innes No.3 mixed with ericaceous (acidic) compost.
