Blueberry ‘Bluegold’ produces solid yields of sweet, blue berries in clusters around the end of July and into August, that is good for storing for longer periods of time than many other blueberry varieties. It’s a beautiful variety that also produces pretty white blooms in spring, followed by deep golden foliage in autumn, culminating in calming yellow stems in the winter months. This self-fertile variety won’t need a pollinating partner, like other fruit trees, making it a low maintenance and beautiful looking addition to shrub borders. Height: 2m (78″). Spread: 1.5m (59″).
Growing Information
Blueberries require a well drained, acid soil in a sunny or semi shaded position. In areas where acid soil does not naturally occur, grow blueberry plants in patio containers using a mix of ericaceous compost and John Innes No. 3.
