A very handy hardy perennial, this dead-nettle is sturdy and resilient and will be happy in a shaded spot in almost any soil type. Lamium maculatum ‘Beacon Silver’ has a low spreading habit of purple and green, sharply-toothed foliage with an attractive shimmer. Clusters of purple-pink blooms appear from late spring into summer which will be adored by bees. A drought tolerant variety once established and a staple for any woodland garden or wildlife area, as well as making excellent ground cover. Even better, it won’t sting!Height: 15cm (6″). Growing Information
Plant Lamium in semi or dappled shade. Dead Nettles prefer a well drained, moist, fertile soil, but can cope well in drier soils once established. On drier soils, incorporate plenty of well rotted manure or compost prior to planting and choose a shaded position.
