A broadly pyramidal evergreen tree with blue needles, very colorful, an ideal size for home landscape use; also this variety is extremely hardy and rugged surviving temperatures down to -30°C. The needles are highly ornamental and remain blue throughout the winter.
When pruning is necessary, it is recommended to only trim back the new growth of the current season. Deer don’t particularly care for this plant and will usually leave it alone in favor of tastier treats. It has no significant negative characteristics.
