Salvia officinalis ( Common Broad Leaf Sage) – the classic English Sage and arguably the best variety for use in cooking. A perennial, evergreen herb producing strongly flavoured grey-green slightly hairy leaves. Sage is very useful for use in stuffings and has many other cullinary uses. Easy to grow. Should be cut back after flowering to avoid leggy plants. Height 30-35cm.
