These exciting single early tulips look fantastic when planted together. The combination of electric orange from Princess Irene and rich purple-mauve from Purple Prince gives you a striking display that is guaranteed to liven up any border, and growing to 30cm in height they are both excellent for growing in pots and containers. These are some of the earliest tulips of the season to bloom, really kicking off spring with a riot of colour. The collection includes 10 each of Princess Irene (orange) and Purple Prince (purple).

Growing at a glance…
Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, before any frost. Find an area of soil that is well-drained and moist and plant your bulbs at twice their depth and spaced apart by 10-15cm. Ensure they are properly covered, you should not be able to see them on the surface of the soil. Position in an area that you know receives plenty of sunlight but is also sheltered from harsh winds. Deadhead the flowers once they wilt, encouraging a healthier plant.
