Growing Information
For the earliest summer crops, sow relevant varieties from September and overwinter in a cold frame, planting outdoors in spring. Alternatively for slightly later maturity sow under glass at 10–15°C (50–60°F) February-March. Harden off plants before planting outdoors. For maincrops sow direct outdoors, 1.8cm deep, in a prepared seedbed March-May.
Spring and Autumn/Winter Harvest – These hardy cauliflowers stand the winter outdoors though protection such as fleece may be necessary in cold areas. Sow 1.8cm deep April-May on a prepared seedbed. Thin seedlings to approximately 10cm apart. In June or July transplant firmly at 60cm spacing on soil manured for a previous crop.
