The cultivar of rhododendron ‘Amaretto’ is enchanting due to its distinct and eye-catching blossom colour. Large trusses of warm apricot-orange blooms are produced by this cultivar, giving any spring garden a distinctive and welcoming appearance. The arrangement gains depth and interest from the lighter centre that contrasts with the delicate orange blooms.
‘Amaretto’ grows to a moderate height of around 1 to 1.5 metres with a comparable spread, making it perfect for smaller garden spaces, mixed borders, or a woodland setting where it can be part of a rhododendron collection. It prefers a site that receives moderate shade, avoiding the harsh afternoon sun that can harm the foliage and blossoms. It grows best in acidic, well-drained soil.
