This variety flourishes later than many other variants, from late summer to autumn, and produces an abundant supply of flowers. Rose ‘The Fairy’ is a popular Polyantha Rose with profusions of small but completely double, pale pink, unscented blooms. The arching stems form a low-growing, shapely mound covered in sparkly green foliage. Because of its spreading habit, this RHS AGM variation is best suited for ground cover or a prickly, low-growing hedge. Height: 60cm (24″). Spread: 90cm (36″).
Growing Information
Plant roses at the earliest opportunity following delivery. To avoid the risk from the build-up of harmful soil organisms and disease, choose an open position in full sun that has not been planted with roses in recent years. Roses enjoy a rich, fertile, well drained soil. Dig in plenty of well rotted manure or garden compost to the soil prior to planting roses and add a small handful of granular fertiliser to the planting hole.
