Sowing Time
February – April
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill a seed tray or pots with moist seed compost. Sow seeds thinly over the surface and lightly cover them with a little more compost. Place in the warmth 18-20 degrees Celsuis (65-70 Fahrenheit) and keep moist.
Growing On
Keep seedlings in a light position, but shade from direct sunlight. When large enough to handle, transplant 5cm (2in) apart into trays of potting compost or individually into small pots. Grow on in a minimum temperature of 15 degrees Celsuis (60 Fahrenheit).
Planting Out
Plant into growing bags or the greenhouse border, 45cm (18in) apart when the first flowers have opened.
