A beautiful plant for the patio. The silvery-green foliage looks stunning when dripping with pale striped purple fruit. The aubergines are ideal to be picked small but equally can be left to mature as full size fruit.
Growing Information
This semi-tropical plant is best grown under glass. Sow February-early April under glass at 15-20°C (60-68°F), limit number of fruits per plant to 3 or 4.
Sowing Information
Sow in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 15-20C (60-80F) using a good quality, finely sieved, moist compost. Cover the seeds with 6mm sieved compost. Germination can take 14.21 days. Transfer individual seedlings when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3″) pots. Transfer into final growing position using 25.30cm (10-12″) pots to grow on to fruiting. Allow up to 45cm (18″) between plants.
