White and pink coloured internal rings which become pinker when the onion is stored. Less pungent than red varieties, it is ideal for use raw in salads and sandwiches and can add interest to the veg patch if grown alongside your white and red onions. Bred in Lincolnshire, UK, so perfect to grow in our climate. Harvest July-September Height 30-40cm (12-16″).

Growing Information

Sow thinly in April-May direct into finely raked, moist, warm weed-free soil at a depth of 13mm. Grow in rows 30cm (12″) apart. Thin to leave one seedling per 10cm (4″). (Use ‘thinnings’ as salad onions). For early crops. sow pots indoors/greenhouse in February-March maintaining 15-20ºC (60-68ºF) and grow on. planting out in May-June. To assist ripening. gently loosen onion bulbs prior lifting.
