Description
The ‘Prinz Handjery’ is very much like the popular Acer Brilliantissimum, but it is a little more open in habit and the leaf colour lasts slightly longer. New foliage starts as a shrimp pink colour and then it develops to a pink-bronze before turning green in summer. The undersides of the leaves are also of interest as these are purple, adding more colour to this wonderful tree. Adding to this, in summer long yellow flowers appear and these later become winged red fruits by autumn. The tree itself will grow to have a rounded habit and it makes a great ornamental specimen.
