Tell Me More…
Kniphofia Nancy’s Red is a shorter growing variety than some of it’s larger cousins. Commonly known as the Red Hot Poker, it is easy to see why as numerous tubular blooms are held in stunning, spike-like flowerheads. A quintessential cottage garden favourite that is equally stunning in modern planting schemes.Originating from southern Africa, the poker-like blooms in shades of dusky red will set your garden alight all summer long from June to October above attractive clumps of grassy green foliage. Attractive to bees and butterflies, the stems make great cut flowers so you can enjoy the fascinating blooms in your home too. Drought tolerant, deer and rabbit resistant, Kniphofia Nancy’s Red will grow happily in coastal garden, preferring poor, dry soil in sun or part shade. Reaching a height of approximately 70cm and spreading to 45-60cm, she is a fully hardy perennial that will grow happily outside all year round.
