Tell Me More…
Generous and sunny-hued blooms emerge from July through to October time over bushy, verdant and gap-filling foliage. These busy blooms are perfect for adding to a strategically placed container and, as an herbaceous perennial, are ideal for a border where they will naturalise and spread to offer warm and welcoming colour year on year. Flowers are a favourite for pollinators and make an excellent cut flower – with plentiful supplies for vases, bouquets and gifts. Your ‘Resplendent Rudbeckia Collection’ comprises triloba ‘Prairie Glow’ with fiery yellow tips and intense orange inner petals (H: 1.2m S: 70cm); fulgida var. sullivantii ‘Goldsturm’ which holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit for its outstanding daisy like blooms (H&S: 60cm); and new arrival for 2024, fulgida ‘Viette’s Little Suzy’ with sunny yellow petals around a generous, dark centre (H&S: 60cm). Plants in the ‘Resplendent Rudbeckia Collection’ prefer moist, well-drained soil of any kind except possibly chalk or sand. Position in full sun or partial shade with any aspect other than north facing. Hardy (H6) herbaceous perennials which die back in mid-autumn and return again the following spring.
