Description
- Our growers whole-heartedly recommend these top three varieties if you want to maximise your return on investment and enjoy bumper yields of tasty fruit. Danielle and Josh grow over 250,000 fruit trees every single year, so trust us when we say they know what they’re talking about…
- The ‘Green Williams’ pear tree is, sadly, often overlooked in favour of its cousin, ‘Conference’. But they really, really shouldn’t be. A pear lover’s pear, ‘Green Williams’ ripens nice and early and can be relied upon in even poor British summers. With its gourmet taste, buttery texture and serious productivity, this variety is worthy of any garden.
- The ‘Victoria’ plum tree is a favourite among orchardists and it’s easy to see why. Easy to grow and bearing an enormous load of fruit every year, ‘Victoria’ plums are always plump, sweet and perfect for making jams with. They very rarely have pest problems and their harvest period is of a decent length. What’s not to like?
- The ‘James Grieve’ apple tree is a fabulous dual-purpose, heritage variety that’s well-suited to colder, rainier parts of the UK (which, let’s be honest, is pretty much everywhere). Resistant to disease and great for pressing your own apple juice, our only (James) grievance is that more people don’t know about it!
- All three trees are RHS Award of Garden Merit winners, fully hardy and suitable for any size of garden.
